Kakao Ventures Invests Seeds in Flight Safety Diagnostics ‘WEFLO’

Kakao Ventures announced on the 22nd that it has invested seed (invested in the very early stages after starting the business) in WEFLO, an aircraft safety diagnosis and solution developer, along with Lotte Ventures and Base Investment. It did not disclose the amount of the investment.

WEFLO is an automatic inspection solution developed by itself called “verti-Pit” which diagnoses the safety of drones before and after flight and helps them operate efficiently. Previously, it partnered with startups and large companies such as GS Caltex, Doosan, and Pablo Air.

“The drone and urban air transportation (UAM) market is growing rapidly,” said Park San-ha, a judge at Kakao Ventures. “WEFLO will become a company that quickly dominates the market based on its advanced technology and business development capabilities.”
