WEFLO Participates in Demo Day of B.IR Lounge, Busan Creative Economy Innovation Center

The Busan Center for Creative Economy Innovation (hereinafter referred to as the Busan Center) successfully completed the Demo Day on the 15th, which marks the end of the “B.IR Lounge,” which supports 1:1 IR pitching mentoring and IR Pitch Deck production for companies that select preliminary start-up packages in 2022.

The B.IR Lounge is a program organized by the Busan Center and operated by PT InSight and Winnstiti, and it is a program that discovered excellent companies among the Busan Center’s 2022 preliminary start-up package selection companies and provided a place to strengthen IR capabilities and attract practical investment through Demo Day.

In July, the program selected seven outstanding start-up companies interested in attracting investment among the 2022 preliminary start-up package winners and provided 1:1 customized support from August to October to improve the actual IR capabilities of start-up companies, including ▲company diagnosis and BM advancement ▲IR pitch deck production ▲IR pitching narration composition ▲pitching rehearsal.

This Demo Day is the last stage of the B.IR Lounge, and it is designed as a time for seven start-ups, including Unid Company, Yruti, WEFLO, Mir ENG, BD ‘At, Next Protein Lab, and Brockos, to present completed IR pitching in front of current investors and network with investor feedback.

In particular, two of the start-up companies that participated in the B.IR lounge program achieved investment attraction results and said, “I am grateful that I received support from the program and actually achieved investment attraction results,” adding, “It was beneficial to receive clear feedback on what I have been thinking about with my team members.”

VCs or individual investors, including BNK Venture Investment, Gyeongnam Venture Investment, Busan Union Technology Holdings, The Game Chainers, and Youth Start-up Power Plant, participated in the screening. They discussed attracting follow-up investments from start-up companies through meaningful feedback and 1:1 matching.

The preliminary start-up package is a project that supports commercialization funds, start-up education, and mentoring for successful start-ups of prospective start-ups with innovative technology start-up ideas. This year, the Busan Center has selected and supported a total of 43 prospective founders, 39 in the general sector and four in start-up free schools.

“This B.IR lounge program is designed to support start-up companies that have excellent start-up items and are interested in attracting investment, but have difficulty in producing IR pitching and Pitch Deck,” said Jang Han-yi, PM of Busan Center. “We hope that the program and Demo Day will complete the confidence to pitch start-up items anywhere, and we will support the successful investment attraction of representatives.”
