WEFLO participates in Lotte Ventures’ Unboxing the L Camp Demo Day

Lotte Ventures’ “10th L-CAMP Demo Day and 4th Busan Demo Day” was held at Lotte World Tower SKY31 Convention on the 9th. Start-ups that received initial investment and office space participated in the startup Demo Day to get opportunities for investment and business connections.
About 700 people, including domestic and foreign venture investment officials, executives and employees of Lotte Group, and start-ups, attended the demonstration day online/offline. At the three-hour event, which began at 2 p.m., 13 companies from the 10th L-CAMP and the 4th Busan took the podium to introduce their business models and achievements, and 14 L-CAMP exhibition booths were set up outside the venue to introduce business models and visions to participants.
The 14 companies participating in the Demo Day include Giro (high-end video production/trading platform), Diabion (digital healthcare platform that collects biomaterial data using rapid diagnostic kits), LAR (manufacturing and selling shoes and fashion accessories using recycled plastic/leather), TSP Biochem (manufacturing alternative Styrofoam biosheets with warm and cool applications), Viewmezin (integrated safety diagnosis management platform using autonomous flying drones), Artificial Society (digital biomarker-based reading diagnosis and improvement service), Terrablock (manufacturing regenerative TPA and eco-friendly pitcher sidewalk blocks and construction materials through waste plastic depolymerization), They are WEFLO (drone/UAM aircraft MRO automation platform), NoTag Korea (Southeast Asian Fashion & Lifestyle Crossboarder Integration Platform), KriPorter (YouTube-centered video caption translation service), Korea Precision Materials Industry (manufacturing next-generation composites used for lightweighting), Robotree (a platform where users can customize and purchase robots directly within the metaverse), and Linkflix (manufacturing natural and biodegradable polymer adhesives derived from natural and living things).
An audience vote was also held to select the best IR pitching company at the hot Demo Day site. WEFLO (drone/UAM aircraft MRO automation platform), which gained the most sympathy, was selected as the best IR pitching company, and Jiro (high-end video production/transaction platform) gained the support of the largest audience at the exhibition booth outside the venue.
Jeon Young-min, CEO of Lotte Ventures, said, “The start-up is the main character of today’s event. Through a 64:1 competition rate, the 10th El Camp and the 4th Busan team will present their eight-month efforts today. We ask for a lot of support,” he said. “There are concerns that the financial market will be strained and start-ups will become difficult, but we expect start-ups to continue to change our lives and the world. Lotte Ventures will always be with startups,” he said.
Meanwhile, Lotte Ventures is also actively supporting domestic startups in their overseas expansion. On the 11th, Lotte Ventures closed its recruitment of Silicon Valley training programs with the support of 160 companies. After going through the selection process by the end of January 23, he will go on a week-long training trip to Silicon Valley in February 23. It plans to provide all expenses such as airline tickets and local accommodation to selected companies, and review follow-up investments in the future.
