WEFLO selects KDB Development Bank’s ‘NextONE 6th’

WEFLO Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Eui-jung) announced on the 26th that it has been selected for the 6th KDB NextONE, a program to discover and foster promising startups that will lead innovative growth in Korea.

The company explained that the final 15 companies, including WEFLO, were selected after the first document and second presentation review for startups that applied through the Next Round online platform.

The final selected companies will receive support linked to venture investment and business cooperation platforms such as NextRound and NextRise operated by the Korea Development Bank and a separate childcare program specialized for startups.

WEFLO, composed of aerospace and guided projectile development researchers, is developing and operating a number of contactless fusion sensors, artificial intelligence (A)I, and big data-based intelligent unmanned aerial vehicle inspection pad ‘verti-Pit’.

verti-Pit applied a number of proprietary patent technologies owned by WEFLO to inspect the aircraft’s body and driving unit in a non-destructive manner, and performed a complete unmanned inspection beyond the inefficient method of predicting and visually checking the risk of the aircraft based on physical and mechanical data.

Based on WEFLO’s core patented technology, we will focus on technology research and advancement by concentrating the capabilities of key R&D personnel in line with the future mobility industry, said Kim Eui-jung, CEO of WEFLO. “We will provide accumulated data to insurance companies along with key roles responsible for the safety of operators and users not only in unmanned vehicles including UAM, but also in the mobility industry such as electric vehicles and electric bicycles, and actively use them to develop liability insurance.”
