WEFLO signs a new defense agreement with Daejeon City
Expand to 95 contract companies, discover business tasks, develop technology, and support marketing

Daejeon City has signed an additional agreement to support new businesses with defense-related venture companies, spurring the development of the defense industry.
Daejeon City announced on the 25th that it will sign a new business support agreement with defense-related venture companies at the conference room of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center and support military-related business tasks, technology development, management, and marketing.
The 13 companies signed the agreement include NetCustomize, Nears Lab, Salusmarin Systems, Aseta, STEC INC, AR Technology, L2K Plus, WEFLO, Inowil, CaperoSystem, Tegway, Pireta, and HancomInspaces.
The Daejeon Defense Venture Center started a support project for 22 contracted companies when it was established in 2011, and has gradually expanded the number of contracted companies every year, and with this agreement, 95 contracted companies will be supported.
Last year, the Daejeon Defense Venture Center provided various projects to contract companies, including 13 projects to support local government development costs, 8 exchanges and cooperation with related organizations, 38 technical advice and information support for defense projects, and 30 management support such as public relations and corporate certification.
As a result, sales in the defense industry of the contracted companies were KRW 11.1 billion as of the end of last year, up KRW 7.7 billion (4.2%) from the previous year.
Hong Joon-seok, head of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center, said, “The 13 new contract companies have excellent technologies to lead future defense technologies such as drone simulation content development and aerospace technology,” adding, “It will greatly contribute to the localization of weapons systems and the development of the defense industry in the future.”
Han Sun-hee, head of the city’s strategic business promotion office, said, “Through the active corporate support activities of the Daejeon Defense Venture Center, the sales of contracted companies as well as job creation were achieved,” adding, “We will continue to expand customized support for the growth of defense small and medium-sized venture companies in Daejeon.”
